The Apeadero Apartments are located in a unique enclave in the "As Mariñas" area in front of the twin estuaries of Ares and Betanzos, lands of manor and legend. Its calm and generous sea offers some of the most lively beaches of the Rías Altas, perfect for sunbathing and enjoying water sports. Ares, Redes, Cabanas, Pontedeume, Perbes, Miño, Sada ... Fishing villages, stately villas, holiday atmosphere.
Less than 10 kms:
- Pontedeume. (6,2 Km) Monumental villa. The medieval town of Pontedeume is located on the banks of the Eume estuary. Its narrow streets, its past in the shadow of the counts of Andrade and a privileged location surrounded by beautiful beaches, a perfect destination for summer tourism, make it one of the essential stops on these coasts.
- Cabañas. (6,9 Km) Halfway between Ferrol and A Coruña is Cabanas, a small municipality, but full of landscapes that contrast and make it unique: such as the pine forest that merges with a golden beach or the dense forest that hides medieval gems.
- Fragas do Eume. (13 Km) Located in the Eume region, just halfway between A Coruña and Ferrol, the Fragas del Eume Natural Park is a protected natural area that preserves one of the best preserved Atlantic forests in Galicia and Europe.
Between 10 & 30 km:
- Betanzos. La ciudad de los caballeros.(16 Km) This small monumental city became the capital of the Kingdom of Galicia, therefore it has numerous buildings and historical monuments. In addition, this town is famous for its tortillas, for its popular festivals (San Roque, Os Caneiros), for its Medieval Fair and for having one of the most interesting popular fairs in Galicia.
- Puerto de Redes. (12 Km) It is worth visiting Redes and sitting down to have a drink on a terrace by the sea. Quiet and very beautiful place.
- Ares. (17 Km) The town of Ares occupies a privileged situation, at the bottom of a cove discreetly protected from the open sea and the winds
- Sada. (22 Km) Located in the Betanzos estuary, Sada is the pearl of As Mariñas and one of the tourist municipalities par excellence in Galicia. An impressive tourist place, with beautiful beaches such as Veigue and Gandario, it has a beautiful and spacious Nautico, where hundreds of moored sailboats and yachts cause a very beautiful image.
- Mugardos. (18 Km) Mugardos is a town that has been called, neither more nor less, as the Real Villa. It is, essentially, a fishing village where it is obligatory to stroll along its docks and then make a stop at some of its bars and restaurants and savor its famous "Mugardesian octopus."
Less than 100 km:
- Ferrol. (22 Km) Facing the estuary and its port, this is how the city of Ferrol was born happily, a city that has always lived from the sea.
- Sierra de la Capelada. (71 Km) Where are some of the highest cliffs in Europe. Its highest peak is that of Vixía Herbeira, 620 meters above sea level. From there you will be able to appreciate all the grandeur and magnitude of these cliffs, the highest after the Norwegian fjords, as their high altitude adds a slope of more than 80%.
- San Andrés de Teixido. (64 Km) The widespread tradition in Galicia says that "quen non vai de vivo vai de morto" (who does not go alive, goes dead). The town and its Sanctuary are an important and picturesque place of pilgrimage, now a tourist destination
- A Coruña. (31 Km) Atlantic balcony. One of the most beautiful cities in Spain, A Coruña is located on a peninsula surrounded by the sea, on the one hand the Orzán cove, with the Orzán and Riazor beaches, and on the other the port area and the Marina, a small port with the famous glass galleries in their homes. Commonly called "The Crystal City" for its galleries, or "The city where no one is a stranger" for the kindness of its people, A Coruña is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. Coastal city, it is famous throughout the world for its Roman lighthouse (the oldest in operation), The Tower of Hercules ...
- Santiago de Compostela. (75 Km) The famous capital of Galicia, Santiago de Compostela, is one of the 3 holy cities of Christianity, along with Rome and Jerusalem. Visited by millions of tourists and devotees a year, Santiago de Compostela preserves a medieval old town worth visiting, formed by cobbled streets and stone houses, and by multiple historical and religious buildings, culminating in the impressive Cathedral of Santiago ... If you go to Santiago and you are going to do tourism, first you have to know that it is a magical city, fabulous but small, and getting lost in the city is an obligation to find beautiful and different corners. Any corner of the old town hides a story, it has its magic.
